The DRDO-FICCI Accelerated Technology Assessment and Commercialization (ATAC) Programme

- PPP initiative wherein government and industrial organization came together to promote technology commercialization.
- FICCI in association with DRDO initiated this programme for creating an active commercial pathway for DRDO’s technologies to the commercial markets.
- 26 DRDO’s labs have participated and over 200 technologies are assessed with FICCI. FICCI and IC2 Institute of Texas University have identified technologies that can be explored for civilian applications. Various industries have also submitted their Expression of Interest (EOI) to FICCI for technology transfer of several DRDO technologies.
- It has licensed close to 30 technologies to various industrial players.
Grant-in-Aid Scheme

Aeronautics R&D board has started Grant-in-aid scheme to nurture the scientific talent and develop facilities in higher education institutes and other research centers including industry.
Directorate of Industry Interface and Technology Management (DI2TM)

Deals with industry for collaborative research and technology transfer of DRDO’s lab engagements. It was established in 2009 as a single window of DRDO for administering matters related to industry interface with DRDO labs for technology development, transfer and its management.
