Promoting Academic Research Conversion to Enterprise (PACE)

The programme aims for the conversion of academic research into the market ready products. It supports collaboration with industry in the following ways –
- Academic Innovation Research (AIR) promotes the development of proof-of-concept by collaborating with or without industry partner.
- Contract Research Scheme (CRS) provides support for industry validation of prototype developed by academia.
PACE has supported 85 beneficiaries (55 academic institutes and 30 companies) and 67 R&D projects. It has led to the generation of 6 technologies/products and 2 IPs.
National Biopharma Mission (NBC)
Link to the Programme
It is a I-A collaborative mission for early stage development of biopharmaceuticals under the programme head ‘Innovate in India (i3)’. It has been introduced with the hopes to strengthen the bridge between the academia and industry in the field of biopharmaceuticals.
