National Research Development Cooperation (NRDC)

NRDC was established in 1953 as an enterprise of DSIR. NRDC was created to assist the technology developers from universities and research institutes for technology commercialization. It is also one of the largest repositories of existing technologies that can be readily taken up by the industries. NRDC has initiated a number of programmes to enhance the innovation ecosystem in the country. NRDC carries out its functions under two programme heads

 a) Programme for inspiring Inventors and Innovators (PII) and

 b) Programme for Development of Technology Inspiring for Commercialization (PDTIC).
