- Industry R&D Promotion Programme (IRDP) recognizes R&D Units of Industries (RDI)*, Public Funded Research Institutes (PFRI) and Scientific and Industrial Research Organizations (SRO) from the public as well as the private sectors to avail government mediated incentives on R&D investments.
- Creation of Common Research and Technology Development Hubs (CRTDH) to encourage R&D activities of MSMEs in collaboration with public funded laboratories.
- Asian and Pacific Centre for Transfer of Technology (APCTT) was created in association with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP) to strengthen an innovation ecosystem of member countries focusing on technology transfer to MSMEs.
Patent Acquisition and Collaborative Research and Technology Development (PACE)

The scheme aids the industrial units and other research organizations to acquire patentable technology (within the country or from other countries) and its commercial exploitation in the Indian market. It also provides support (proof of concept to commercialization) to industries and research organization to develop innovative products and technologies.
Promoting Innovations in Individuals, Start-ups and MSMEs (PRISM)

The scheme promotes collaborative R&D of research institutes/organizations with individual innovators and MSME clusters by the creation of autonomous body/unit to develop specific technologies for MSMEs within host research institute/organizations.
